Transhumanism and Human's Quest for Immortality :

Throughout history, human beings have made progress in different fields and transformed the world with their technological and scientific advances. However, immortality, one of man's greatest desires, still remains an unrealized dream. Transhumanism, on the other hand, is a philosophical movement that points to the quest to achieve immortality by exceeding the human limits. In this article, the subject of transhumanism and man's quest for immortality will be discussed and discussed.

Transhumanism is a movement of thought that aims to transcend the physical and mental limitations of humans and become a superior being thanks to technological developments. Transhumanists focus on goals such as delaying aging, curing disease, and achieving immortality. With the advancement of science and technology, people's life expectancy has been extended and solutions to health problems have been found. However, it is still not possible to become truly immortal.

Man's quest for immortality has been present in different cultures and belief systems for centuries. While in mythology, immortality is considered the privilege of gods and legendary beings, various methods have been tried to achieve immortality in history. In ancient times, immortality was sought by using elixirs, spells and different rituals. However, these efforts were unsuccessful and humans still remained as mortal beings.

Advances in fields such as artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, nanotechnology and biotechnology have the potential to increase people's physical and mental abilities. The fact that immortality belongs only to the rich and powerful can lead to separation of people from each other and social problems.
